I never really planned on becoming a photographer. Now that I am one, I really
never planned on shooting weddings. Naturally, I just shot my first wedding, and loved it. Don’t mess with fate…I think.

Here’s some favorites from the day, of some of my favorite people. All shots taken on Canon 70D, with either Canon 24-70 2.8, or 10-22 3.5. 

It’s been a while. Memorial Day weekend actually led to me getting out and shooting, on my own terms. It seemed fitting to head to the Empty Sky Memorial at Liberty State Park and get some work in. The 9.11 tribute is serious, and the skyline looms behind it. A great night.

Despite the increased effort to make pictures of people, I did get some other shots too while in New Orleans. Here are some additionals, and another shot of a real live human for good measure. Also, that kid was equal parts hysterical and adorable.

Headed to Orlando tomorrow. Not sure what to shoot there, but I’m at least adding another pin to my map in the meantime. 

Fourth time in New Orleans, and each trip has been completely different. As awesome as the architecture is, the culture is, and the music definitely is, this trip was about the people. I tried to spend an extra amount of time capturing some of the interesting people here. It also didn’t hurt that it was St. Pats (and St. Josephs, for us Italians).

My bag is clearly packed. Headed to New Orleans for a few days, and ready to finally get out and shoot somewhere other than snow-covered, gray-colored NJ. NOLA offers so much good content - from the music, to the architecture, to the lifestyle. Last time down there I met the Violin Monster, among a few other crazies. Of course, the weather says it’s supposed to rain every single day. I don’t care.
